TRIED SOMETHING NEW...CALLIGRAPHY

Today, I took 'Beginner Calligraphy" at Mockingbird Domestics in Austin with the talented - Lauren Essl, calligrapher, designer and owner of Blue Eye Brown Eye from Fort Worth. I've always been fascinated by the art and beauty of hand lettering. And I'm so grateful that I could attend. Of course I was nervous, yet excited.

What I loved about the workshop was the intimate class size where Lauren was able to spend time with each of us. She also provided each of us with a starter kit, so I didn't have to bring anything with me. Yay!

Calligraphy is not easy, but with practice I know I can develop my own lettering style. Practice, not perfection. A huge thank you to Lauren for keeping calligraphy alive!
